  1. I think #1’s response was not only spot-on, but very insightful and wise.

Expectations are the number one reason why people become disappointed.
If people rid themselves of expectations, nobody would never be let down!

If you don’t try to change reality (which could be someone’s personality, traits you view as being “bad,” etc.), and simply accept everything around you, you will truly be able to love. There is no such thing as a perfect guy or girl, and I think people fail to realize that they are searching for something that may or may not exist.

I have been with my boyfriend for 3 years now, and in this relationship, I have learned to really give up my ego, to accept reality, and to really know that what we have works and maybe he isn’t the hottest guy on the planet, and maybe he isn’t going to be rich, but it works. We aren’t trying to prove anything or gain anything from one another. We aren’t perfect. We just love eachother!

  2. Alexi, both of these videos are the epitome of my feminine and masculine selves. I love these two! Best one ever!

  3. Alexi,

This post just reminded me of a video I watched done by David Lynch (if you don’t know who he is) who is part of an Interview project (which is incredible).

Well, one of the videos on his site is this elderly couple who actually owned an Inn that the crew stumbled across.

They ended up interviewing them and long story short, they talked about their marriage and life a bit and even showed them where they got married.

Certain parts trail off the subject a bit when they jokingly talk about other events in their lives; however, it’s worth a watch.

What I like about them is that they don’t come out and say how in love they are with each other. They dance around it jokingly–which gives their relationship even more character–but you can see the love and utter gratefulness they have for each other after so many years together.

  4. I am unable to post the link…but if you Google the Interview Project by David Lynch, then click on ‘all episodes’ and search for the Calloways, that’s the one I’m talking about..

  5. Definitely the most insightful dude you’ve featured…EVER. Love the story about his parents. And I agree, girls are just greedy b*tches. But so are boys. Life is not a Warren G video…you can’t always have it all, all, all.

  8. A-greed. That was the smartest boy to appear on video on this blog. He had me at, “aquarians see love differently”. I am one and he’s right.

he’s special. And his house has really high ceilings. If I liked smart white guys with facial hair, I’d send him a love letter with my perfume sprayed all over it.

I wonder if his parents made him the first time they had sex. Or the second.

  9. Sable, I forgave the audio lag because you were pretty.

  10. Oh Sable! I was about to tell you not to accept any messages from Charley cause he’s probably a stalker, until I went to his site and saw that he loves MJ almost as much as I do. So it’s okay if you talk to him. I approve.

  11. his response was insightful and inspriing. <3

  24. I can’t believe that any of you actually listen to this self-involved, self-important, everything-I-say-is-more-important-than-what-you-say blowhard moron broad. An ego-maniacal, foul-mouthed psycho-bitch if I’ve ever seen one. And they put idiots like this on TV? There must be more people out there who have no self-esteem than I first thought. Follow on, you poor sheep.

  26. Whoa you guys, these comments are awesome (except for the couple anti-awesome ones)!
My glasses are by Derek Lam for MODO. Get ’em, girl!

I wish I was an Aquarius… Alas, Cancer! Cancers are always getting a wimpy rep by astrology. Bullocks.
