so I adored the first video so much that before I watched the second video i felt so sorry for her – that girl, trying to compare with that awesome awesome first video, cringe. but then i watched the second video and sooo much love! she is talking about me entirely and she is so damn right. perfect.

both videos were great!! i relate to the point in the 2nd video, that there is no one right person for us, just a person willing to work on a healthy relationship with someone else. i’ve never heard it put that way, and it really struck me.

video 2: You go girl. And, a bit of advice, skip the beer buying and go straight to the heavy hitting cocktails. Guys aren’t just dumb, we’re simple. Add enough alcohol and we’re even simpler. Oh, and if Mr. Cool is a bad drunk that’s something worth knowing REALLY early too! Much love sweetness.
That kid is awesome! What’s even worse than dating a hipster? Dating a WANNABE hipster. NYC is crawling with them. A bunch of tools walking around wearing jeans two sizes too small.
Anyway, love the second girl. I TOTALLY know what she’s talking about. I had a crazy-psycho-unhealthy crush on the same guy all through high school, and when he FINALLY asked me to senior prom, we maybe said 10 words to each other all night and didn’t even kiss!!!
I didn’t realize I was up here until this week, which made reading all these glowing words that much sweeter! Thank you thank you thank you.
But seriously, let’s go date some HUMANS.
I really appreciate the second girl for being so real! I went through this. being intimidated by guys SUCKS! i felt so bad about myself because he didnt fall for the “new improved” me…i really wasn’t showing the real me cause i was so scared of him. haha
that second video, woah. that one hit home for me. it kinda hurt. she is so right. ive seen myself do that one to many times. its terrible. it drives me crazy. and then when it doesnt work out with that guy you idealize, your crushed and feel like a failure. its terrible and can lead to unhealthy things/feelings. that being said, its easier said than done, but i too really want to try and stop doing that. its too much for me to handle. I cant take the added stress.
Guys do the whole idealizing thing too! ALL the time. At least I do. In fact, it’s really great to hear that women do this. If you’re cute (and the girl in the video is VERY cute) and at all interesting, he probably already thinks lotuses bloom in your footsteps, and that your smile eclipses the sun, etc., because we men, even though some won’t admit it (and some are just d-bags), are romantics and hopelessly girlcrazy.
