  1. Hey Alexi:

I’m a big fan of your blog and podcast, but to be honest I thought last night’s show was a little weak.

May I humbly suggest, maybe once a month or every so often you announce a show in which instead of giving advice discuss a topic. You can start the show waxing poetic about how you feel about something and then callers can call in to agree or disagree. Or you can start out the show with a question and then callers can chime in with their opinion.

I think a little bit of variety to the podcast would help keep it exciting and something to look forward to–not that it already isn’t.

However, last night the first chick clearly had control issues. Her friend is resisting her because she does not want play by her rules. The girl who called won’t admit to herself she is jealous her friend keeps getting the guy and she does not. If friends are choosing the other girl’s side more than likely they see the caller is the problem. In terms of being the better person, in some cases that is fine. However, in this case for this girl to continue to try to maintain a relationship with this girl would just be toxic to both. I have actually seen this happen–I still do have friends from high school so I have seen what this looks like in the long run.

The other two guys who called. The first guy, Kevin, I mean too much time was spent on him. I would just tell the dude, look be a man and make decisions based on your own moral comfort zone and how you were raised and quit being a pussy and trying to behave like people who don’t share your values. I would give the same advice if Kevin had called complaining his friends were angry with him for having too much sex. It’s not the value that matters it’s accepting and living by your values that matters.

The dude, Andy I believe, I mean I read his submission. I agree with what he wrote. Reading it though, I’m not certain why he was so hung up on what one girl said or wrote. I mean you know the options out there, you have your options, one girl is just one girl.

Again, Alexi big fan of your blog and podcast; both make me laugh. I’m just offering some humble suggestions to add some variety to the show to keep it fresh.
